We were up bright and early Tuesday morning for our 8:00 van pickup transporting us to the San Francisco Airport. By 2:15 we were up-up and away on our KLM flight bound for Vienna, via Amsterdam. Everything went very smoothly with our flights: on time, good food, and since I can’t seem to sleep on an airplane, most importantly, good movies. We arrived to a gorgeous day in Vienna with temperatures in the high 70’s. Our ship is very comfortable with a lovely crew. The photo below is Bonnie and me on the upper deck overlooking the Danube River. After being up for over 30 hours, it is now time to put this old body to bed!

Rolling on the River
Tuesday morning we are off on another adventure with Grand Circle traveling from Vienna to Amsterdam on the Danube, Main, and Rhine Rivers. On our final three days, we will be touring Bruges, Belgium by land. Below is a map of our route for this19 day excursion with a brief itinerary in the right margin.
